Time
Enough time to actually listen.
Longer visits mean the conversation can reach the things that matter, not just the first item on the list.
TruFamilyMD · Orange County, California
More time. Better access. A physician who knows you. Care built around your life, not around a fifteen-minute appointment slot.
TruFamilyMD is personalized, physician-led primary care with Dr. Trung Pham, MD, FACP — covering prevention, metabolic health and weight management, in person and through appropriate virtual visits.

Healthcare has become increasingly fragmented. You may see a different clinician at each visit. Repeat your story again and again. Wait weeks for an appointment—only to feel rushed when you finally get there.
TruFamilyMD was created around a different idea: the best care happens when your doctor is truly there for you.
Imagine having a doctor in your family. Someone who knows you—not just your medical chart, but your history, your concerns, your goals, and what matters to you.
Someone you can turn to when you have a question. Someone who helps you make sense of confusing medical information, guides you through difficult decisions, and stays involved when your care becomes complicated.
Most importantly, someone who advocates for your health as if you were family. That is the relationship we are building at TruFamilyMD.

Meet Your Physician
Internal Medicine
Dr. Pham is board certified in Internal Medicine and in Obesity Medicine, and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. Before founding TruFamilyMD he practiced as a cardiothoracic surgeon, where he saw how often serious disease could have been addressed earlier. That experience shaped a practice built on prevention, continuity and unrushed conversation.
What Guides Our Care
Time
Longer visits mean the conversation can reach the things that matter, not just the first item on the list.
Access
Direct communication with the doctor who knows you, so small questions do not become large problems.
Continuity
You should not have to start over at every visit. Your history stays with the physician who is treating you.
Personalization
Guidelines describe averages. Care is planned around your history, your goals and your life.
Prevention
Prevention, screening and risk review are part of ordinary care, not an afterthought.
These commitments are the reason patients stay with the same physician for years.

Patient Experience
The themes repeat across reviews published by TruFamilyMD: accessibility, attention, professionalism and care that feels personal.
“Extremely knowledgeable and professional. Quite a refreshing experience to work with over traditional medical heath structures”
“I am sooo lucky to have found Dr. Pham and Van. I moved to California for a new job that didn't offer health insurance, and it's unaffordable on your own. I Had a great initial video chat where he was so helpful answering all my questions! My first visit was amazing.”
“finding such a dedicated Vietnamese doctor here is not easy at all. But luckily, thanks to the Telehealth program, she was able to continue receiving healthcare and support from her doctor.”
“The doctor was very cheerful, enthusiastic, and attentive. Thank you, Doctor.”
