Time
Enough time to actually listen.
Longer visits mean the conversation can reach the things that matter, not just the first item on the list.
Our Approach
A simple idea shapes everything at TruFamilyMD: healthcare works better when one physician has the time to know you, the availability to answer you, and the continuity to follow your health over years rather than visits.
Most of what a physician needs in order to help you is not on a lab report. It is in your story: what changed, when it started, what you have already tried, what you are worried about, and what you actually want your health to allow you to do.
Gathering that story takes time, and understanding it takes continuity. When the same physician sees you over years, patterns become visible that no single visit could reveal — a slow trend in blood pressure, a weight change that started with a new medication, a symptom that only makes sense alongside something you mentioned last spring.
None of this is a criticism of the clinicians working inside busy systems. Many excellent physicians are asked to deliver thorough care in schedules that make it very difficult. TruFamilyMD is simply organized differently, so that time with patients is the point rather than the constraint.
The Five Commitments
Time
Longer visits mean the conversation can reach the things that matter, not just the first item on the list.
Access
Direct communication with the doctor who knows you, so small questions do not become large problems.
Continuity
You should not have to start over at every visit. Your history stays with the physician who is treating you.
Personalization
Guidelines describe averages. Care is planned around your history, your goals and your life.
Prevention
Prevention, screening and risk review are part of ordinary care, not an afterthought.
TruFamilyMD offers a direct primary care membership relationship in addition to physician-led medical weight management. Our guide to Direct Primary Care in Orange County explains how the membership model works, or you can read the practice overview on the main TruFamilyMD website.
Direct primary care is not insurance and does not replace it. Many patients keep coverage for hospital care, imaging, specialists and medications while using a direct relationship for their day-to-day primary care. The practice can explain how this applies to your situation during a Meet & Greet.
Yes, where clinically appropriate. Some concerns need an in-person examination; many follow-ups, medication reviews and questions do not. Patients are seen in Orange County, California, with appropriate virtual options.
Yes. Dr. Pham communicates with patients in English and Vietnamese, which matters when medical decisions need to be understood clearly by the patient and their family.
A free Meet & Greet is exactly what it sounds like: a chance to ask questions and see whether this kind of physician relationship fits your life.
